Pnina Tamano-Shata, born in Ethiopia, came to Israel aged three in Operation Moses (1984) and worked as a lawyer and journalist. In 2013 she became the first Ethiopian-born woman in the Knesset (Yesh Atid), and she served as Minister of Aliyah and Integration (sworn in May 2020), the first Ethiopian-born cabinet minister, for Blue and White. She is second on the 2026 Blue and White list.

Yesh Atid (2013 MK); Yesh Atid slot in the Blue and White alliance (2019–2020); stayed with Gantz's Blue and White when the alliance split in 2020; National Unity (2022); Blue and White (2026). The CEC list gives her name as 'פנינה (פנחש) תמנו'.
