Roy Konkol is a former spokesman and senior media adviser to Yair Lapid, a role he held while Lapid was opposition leader, foreign minister and prime minister. He has served for 27 years as a combat soldier and commander in the reserves. He fought in Operation Defensive Shield and the Second Lebanon War, and he spent more than 300 days on reserve duty in Gaza and Lebanon during the current war. In February 2026 he joined Yoaz Hendel's Reservists party. He is now fourth on Blue and White's 2026 list.
