⚔️ עזה: מפשיטות לכיבוש על צומת הפוליטיקה 🗳 שלוש השנים הארוכות של המלחמה בעזה טשטשו אצל הישראלים את התמונה של האירוע לסלט אחד גדול: "נלחמנו, עשינו עסקאות, נגמר". את הערפל הזה בראש כדאי להחליף בסדר ובבהירות. האמת היא שהמלחמה לא הייתה אירוע רציף, אלא שלבים שונים מאוד שיש קשר מובהק ביניהם לבין זהות האנשים שניהלו את המלחמה בדרג המדיני ובדרג הצבאי. Once you see it - you cannot unsee it , כמו שאומרים באנגלית. את המלחמה אפשר למעשה לחלק ל-4 שלבים מרכזיים: 1. ההתקפה הראשונית (נובמבר 23-ינואר 24). 💥 2. תקופת הפשיטות (ינואר 24-אוקטובר 24). 🏃 3. תקופת "המעבר" (אוקטובר 24-מרץ 25). ⚖️ 4. תקופת הכיבוש והשיטוח (מרץ 25-אוקטובר 25) 🚜 כדאי מאוד לישראלים להיזכר, שהתקופות האלה במלחמה לא השתנו מעצמן באופן טבעי עם מיצוי של השלבים, אלא הן משקפות את החילופים הפוליטיים והצבאיים באופן כמעט מלא: תקופת הפשיטות הייתה תולדה ישירה של הרוב של גנץ וגלנט בקבינט המלחמה לצד ההדרה של בן גביר וסמוטריץ' מקבלת ההחלטות, והשליטה של הרצי הלוי במטכ"ל. לאורך התקופה הזו צה"ל ביצע רק מבצע כיבוש גדול אחד: רפיח ופילדלפי, וגם הוא היה נגד דעת חצי מהקבינט והמטכ"ל. תקופת המעבר היא התוצאה של פרישת גנץ ואייזנקוט מן הממשלה (על רקע רפיח וה"סירוב לעסקה"), ובעיקר של פיטורי גלנט והחלפתו בכ"ץ וכניסתם של סמוטריץ' ובן גביר לקבינט המצומצם. השיא של התקופה הזאת הוא ב"קרב ג'בליה השלישי" שכבר נועד לשטח את המרחב, ובשיטוח ההדרגתי של העיר רפיח, וזאת תוך הגעה של מערכת היחסים בין הממשלה למטכ"ל לרתיחה. תקופת הכיבוש והשיטוח היא התוצאה של החלפת הרצי הלוי ופינקלמן באייל זמיר ויניב עשור, וברוח הגבית של ממשל טראמפ לאחר הכרעת החיזבאללה בלבנון ומיצוי עסקת החטופים ה-2. כאן ישראל עוברת למבצעי כיבוש ושיטוח מובהקים בשרשרת רציפה מעוז וחרב דרך מרכבות גדעון וכלה במרכבות גדעון ב', וזאת תוך המשך המתח בין הדרג המדיני למטכ"ל, אבל בטמפרטורה נמוכה יותר. המלחמה לא מתגלגלת לבד היעדים, השיטות וההתנהלות תלויים בשאלה מי עומד בראש המערכת ומי מכתיב את הטון. לאורך כל הפאזה הראשונה של המלחמה הטון הוכתב על ידי הרצי הלוי, גלנט וגנץ. בהדרגה המטוטלת עברה לצד השני, וגם השיטות בהתאם. הפשיטות לא הפכו לכיבוש סתם ככה. הפשיטות הומרו לכיבוש, כי האנשים שהאמינו בפשיטות מצאו את עצמם מחוץ לשולחן קבלת ההחלטות, והאנשים שהאמינו בכיבוש נכנסו אליו. לעומת זאת, עד סוף המלחמה לא נלקחה אחריות ישירה על האוכלוסייה העזתית, מכיוון שהדרג הצבאי התנגד לכך עד תום. בתרשים ציר הזמן לעיל אפשר לראות את זה בבירור, כאשר ציר הזמן של המלחמה הוא בחלק העליון, וציר הזמן של הפוליטיקה בחלק התחתון. שלבי המלחמה מסומנים בצבעי הרקע. כדאי מאוד לחשוב על זה כאשר אנחנו בוחרים מי יעמוד בראש מערכות הביטחון הלאומי שלנו. הצטרפו לחפ"ש האסטרטגי!

The period of conquest and flattening (March 25-October 25) 🚜 It is very worthwhile for Israelis to remember that these periods of the war did not change on their own, naturally, as phases were exhausted; rather, they reflect the political and military changes of personnel almost completely: The raids period was a direct result of Gantz and Gallant's majority in the war cabinet, alongside the exclusion of Ben-Gvir and Smotrich from decision-making, and Herzi Halevi's control of the General Staff. Throughout this period the IDF carried out only one major conquest operation: Rafah and Philadelphi, and even that was against the view of half the cabinet and the General Staff. The transition period is the result of Gantz and Eisenkot leaving the government (against the backdrop of Rafah and the "refusal of the deal"), and above all of Gallant's dismissal and his replacement by Katz, and the entry of Smotrich and Ben-Gvir into the security cabinet. The peak of this period is the "Third Battle of Jabalia", which was already meant to flatten the area, and the gradual flattening of the city of Rafah, all while the relationship between the government and the General Staff reached a boiling point. The period of conquest and flattening is the result of the replacement of Herzi Halevi and Finkelman by Eyal Zamir and Yaniv Asor, and of the tailwind from the Trump administration after the defeat of Hezbollah in Lebanon and the exhaustion of the 2nd hostage deal. The raids were replaced by conquest because the people who believed in raids found themselves outside the decision-making table, and the people who believed in conquest entered it. On the other hand, until the end of the war no direct responsibility was taken for the Gazan population, because the military leadership opposed it to the very end. It is an amazing speech because it embodies so many elements of the political failure in the days before October 7, and it was delivered by Netanyahu right in the days when Hamas was sending its people to riot on the fence in Gaza as part of its broad deception effort against Israel.
