Yousef Jabareen is a constitutional-law and human-rights scholar from Umm al-Fahm, with a PhD from Georgetown University Law Center, who has taught at the University of Haifa, Tel Aviv University and Tel-Hai College and headed the Dirasat Arab Centre for Law and Policy. He served as a Hadash MK from 2015 to 2021 and chaired the Knesset Committee on the Rights of the Child. In May 2026 he succeeded Ayman Odeh as Hadash chairman, winning about 82% in the party's internal vote, and he heads the 2026 Joint List.
