Amir Ohana has been Speaker of the Knesset since December 2022, the first openly gay person to hold the post. Born in Beersheba, he is a lawyer and former Shin Bet official who entered the Knesset for Likud in December 2015. He served as justice minister (2019–2020) and public security minister (2020–2021). He finished second in the 2026 Likud primary.
