העלייה האחרונה להר הבית לשנה זו, דווקא כאן בחודש אלול - חודש של חשבון נפש, התחדשות ותקווה עמוקה. במשך דורות של גלות נאלצנו להסתפק בחצי תורה - שמרנו על המצוות, על המסורת ועל הקהילה, אך איבדנו את החצי השני: את הלאומיות החיה, השלמה והטבעית של עם בארצו ובמקדשו. היום, משהו חדש וגדול קורה. המשימה שלנו היא לחזור אל הזהות היהודית במובנה הרחב והמלא ביותר. התשובה של דורנו אינה חזרה אחורה אל ממדים מכווצים וגלותיים, אלא תשובה של צמיחה - צעד קדימה אל עבר תרבות שלמה, אל בשורה של חירות, צדק ושליחות מול העולם כולו. על ההר הזה מבינים שאין באמת חילוניים ודתיים. כולנו צועדים באותו המסע - עם כיפה או בלי כיפה, עם ציצית או בלי, כל אחד בקצב ובדרך שלו, אך מתוך שותפות אחת עמוקה. אנחנו לא מתגעגעים לעיירות הגולה; אנחנו מתגעגעים הביתה, אל הלב הפועם של ירושלים ואל הבשורה הלאומית השלמה של עם ישראל. יוצאים לקראת השנה החדשה בראש מורם, מתוך עוצמה, אמונה ותקווה גדולה לעם כולו. שנה טובה ומלאת התחדשות!
Translation The last ascent to the Temple Mount for this year, precisely here in the month of Elul - a month of soul-searching, renewal and deep hope. For generations of exile we had to make do with half a Torah - we kept the commandments, the tradition and the community, but lost the other half: the living, complete and natural nationhood of a people in its land and in its Temple. Today, something new and great is happening. Our mission is to return to Jewish identity in its broadest and fullest sense. The repentance of our generation is not a return backward to shrunken and exilic dimensions, but a repentance of growth - a step forward toward a complete culture, toward a message of freedom, justice and mission before the whole world. On this mountain you understand that there really are no secular and religious. לא הרחבתי בנושא במהלך השבוע, אז מנסה עכשיו לעשות סדר בדרמה שמתרחשת ב׳דגל התורה׳ – זה מה שקורה כרגע: הנתק – אתחיל בפרסומון שממחיש את עומק הטלטלה במפלגה החרדית־ליטאית: אחרי כהונה של כמעט 40 שנה בכנסת, באופן חריג למדי, בימים האחרונים נוצר נתק בין גפני לבין בתי הרבנים שמנהיגים את המפלגה – הרב דב לנדו והרב משה הלל הירש – על רקע הניסיון להדיח אותם מהרשימה לכנסת. גם ח״כ אורי מקלב מצוי בנתק עם בתי הרבנים. ניסיונות של מקורבים לח״כים לקיים פגישות פנים אל פנים אצל הרבנים במהלך השבוע לא צלחו. ההחלטה – גורמים המעורים בפרטים אומרים שהפור כבר נפל. בבית הרב לנדו התקבלה החלטה, וכעת ממתינים להחלטה של הרב הירש, שעדיין לא אמר את המילה האחרונה. בבית הרב הירש דחפו תחילה ל״רענון״, כלומר להוצאת כל ארבעת הח״כים מהרשימה. בבית הרב לנדו, לעומת זאת, היו מעוניינים בהדחה בפינצטה של גפני ומקלב בלבד, ובהשארתם של אשר ופינדרוס ברשימה. לפי שעה ההחלטה המסתמנת היא החלפה של גפני ומקלב בלבד. המושך בחוטים – מי שמוביל את המהלך, ועשוי להפוך בעקבותיו לאדם החזק ביותר, ואף להפוך לשולט בפועל במנגנון המפלגתי של המפלגה החרדית־ליטאית - הוא דוד שפירא, נכדו של הרב שטיינמן. שפירא מחזיק בהשפעה משמעותית על ביטאון המפלגה, ״יתד נאמן״, באמצעות בעלי העיתון, הטייקון שמעון גליק. במקביל, הוא גם נהנה מכוח רב בבית הרב לנדו ובקרן עולם התורה. מה שנקרא: הון. שלטון. עיתון. – הגרסה החרדית כוללת גם שליטה בכל המנגנון. הביקורת – מה שמעורר תהיות הוא הדרך שבה מתבצע המהלך – במחשכים, ובעיקר תוך נתק מול חברי כנסת שהנהיגו את המפלגה מטעם הרבנים במשך עשרות שנים, ומבלי לכנס את מועצת גדולי התורה, הליך פורמלי כלשהו או אפי׳ ניהול שיח פתוח עם הרבנים. ההחלטה הסופית – במוצ״ש או ביום ראשון צפויה להתפרסם ההחלטה הסופית, לקראת אישור רשימת ׳יהדות התורה׳ כולה במועצת גדולי התורה. עד אז – הקרב האמיתי בדגל התורה ימשיך להתנהל מאחורי הקלעים.

For now the emerging decision is to replace only Gafni and Maklev. The one pulling the strings – the person leading the move, who may become the most powerful man as a result, and even become the de facto controller of the party apparatus of the Haredi-Lithuanian party - is David Shapira, the grandson of Rabbi Steinman. Shapira holds significant influence over the party's mouthpiece, "Yated Ne'eman," through the newspaper's owner, tycoon Shimon Glick. At the same time, he also enjoys considerable power in Rabbi Lando's house and in the Olam HaTorah fund. What they call: Capital. Government. Newspaper. – The Haredi version also includes control of the entire apparatus. The criticism – what raises questions is the way the move is being carried out – in the dark, and mainly while cut off from Knesset members who led the party on behalf of the rabbis for decades, and without convening the Council of Torah Sages, any formal procedure, or even holding an open dialogue with the rabbis. I knew immediately, without a shadow of a doubt: cables like these don't tear by themselves, and in my days as an MK I fought alongside his family for the truth to be investigated and for their recognition as a family of terror victims. The Israeli establishment, as usual, chose to cover up. The Shin Bet and the police hurried to issue draconian gag orders, silenced, smeared, and tried to present the horror as another "work accident." I had to use my parliamentary immunity, violate the gag order loudly from every stage, and wage a war to the bitter end to force them to admit the simple and painful truth: it was a nationalist terror attack. Had it not been for that outcry, the establishment would have robbed the family, with outrageous callousness, even of the basic recognition as victims of hostile acts. And now, 12 years have passed. The recognition was granted - but justice was trampled into the dust. Three Arab suspects, holders of blue ID cards who worked with him at the site, were arrested and quickly released. No "necessity interrogation," no application of pressure, no turning of tables. When the security establishment wants to crack a case - it knows how to apply its full weight, penetrate every corner and exhaust the law to the end. But when it comes to the murder of a Jewish worker by an enemy from within, in the heart of the country? There the investigation dissolves. There the motivation disappears. There the whole system stammers, becomes flaccid and impotent. If you officially admitted that it was a nationalist terror attack - where are the murderers? The truth is horrifying and searing: Netanel's murderer walks free. He shops with you at the supermarket, builds your homes, strolls with his children in the same playgrounds - and laughs at our fake sovereignty. This is not just investigative negligence; it is the cognitive bankruptcy of an establishment emptied of identity, which has lost its natural sense of justice, its national pride and the simple understanding that Jewish blood is not up for grabs. And the case of Netanel Arami is not an isolated incident. It is the essence of the reality in which we are imprisoned to this very day. The same willful blindness, the same moral disability that is afraid to point at the enemy, the same cowardice that manages terror instead of defeating it - it is exactly the same disease we encounter on every front: against Hamas terrorists who dare to raise their heads, against rotten security doctrines of "containment" and "arrangement," and against the total loss of governance in the heart of the country. The root of the problem is not a lack of technological means or firepower; the root of the problem is the loss of the justice of our path. A state that has erased its Jewish identity is incapable of defending its citizens, because it no longer has the moral courage to distinguish between friend and foe. It's time to sober up. It's time to stand up for our lives, shake off the culture of stammering and weakness, and set up a leadership of faith, strength and uncompromising sovereignty - which will restore awe to all our enemies, and make clear once and for all to the whole world: Jewish blood will never again be up for grabs.

And yet the latest polls show the public is not interested in the merchandise. According to them, all the following names - Shira Shapira, Elisaf Peretz, Yosef Haddad, Nataly Shem Tov, Oren Smadja and Hezi Nehama, Dedi Simchi and of course the top brass: Winter, Erdan, Edelstein, Gantz, Tropper – all these names do not pass the electoral threshold, together or separately. The frustration grows for this group when the polls turn out to be a fata morgana: the closer you get, the farther the threshold recedes. The Reservists passed the threshold and then collapsed. The same polls indicated that if they merged with Tropper they would pass – only to dive below again. The same thing happened to Erdan, and before that to Gantz, and afterward to Winter. You put up a building only to discover it was built on a whale that sailed away; you merge only to discover that anything times zero is zero. Even right now, the illusion continues. According to the polls, roughly ten percent are below the threshold, an astonishing number of voters. Is that really the situation? Or do the fractions of a percent of all the parties represent more of a passing mood? He'll simply explain that there was never a chance to begin with. But what about those who believed that there is demand for the unity merchandise and the third way? Could it be that this is, as economists say, a supply-side problem? Or was it an illusion from the start? The speed with which parties are shot into the world and then forced to line up with the right or left camp, declare loyalty or commit to a framework and then evaporate, suggests that this may not yet be the round of conclusions.
