We arrived at the building, located at perhaps the most visible and busy intersection in the country. Nothing is secret in this building. We went through a security check. The guards were courteous, did their job faithfully and let us in. For about 20 minutes we walked around the building looking for a suitable place to film. Everything was fine. Until someone apparently understood what we came to film - and decided to set the poor guards on us. And what's most amazing is that even when we left the building and stood outside it, on one of the busiest and most filmed sidewalks in the country, there too they kept trying to prevent us from filming ourselves against the backdrop of one of the most central public buildings in Tel Aviv. Someone in the land cartel, called the Israel Land Administration, someone in this mechanism that forever enslaves those without housing, very much didn't want us to make this video. The ILA is much more than another government bureaucracy. It is an expression of an outlook opposite to ours: in their view, the state decides who may grow vegetables and who may build a house. Because the state is the owner of the land and the citizen is the one who receives its permission to use it. But we in 'Zehut' believe exactly the opposite. The land is not the private estate of the mechanism. The role of the state is not to hoard land, manage supply and collect from the public the price of the shortage it itself creates. We think the Land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel, literally. We want the land in the hands of citizens, not officials. Ownership instead of dependence. Freedom instead of monopoly. We believe that the state is ours, and not that we belong to the state. And someone got very scared of this idea. Suddenly the guards were sent to throw us out. Suddenly the building is "closed". And after 4 years as a senior minister and cabinet member, I understand more than ever how much a fundamental change must be made in the IDF, and how much this change is imperative after years of a mistaken doctrine that brought us to the brink of the abyss. I know there are many who say that I won't be in the next government at all. I saw the report in Israel Hayom that countries in Europe received messages from the Prime Minister's Office that I won't be in the next government. I also saw the statements of Eisenkot and his colleagues who rule out my very membership in the government, saying the Likud and Smotrich are fine, only Ben Gvir is unacceptable in the government they're planning. To all of them I'll remind that four years ago they doubted my ability to be a government minister at all, and Minister of National Security in particular. But democracy is stronger than anything, and your support changed reality. The time has come to change the military security doctrine. To bring the fighting spirit and the spirit of victory of the middle ranks to the senior ranks as well. We must create an absolute drive for victory, with unconfused Jewish morality. An army whose purpose is victory and decisive defeat of the enemy. We have immense appreciation for the fighters and commanders in the field. It's no accident that for decades the army's top brass has produced politicians of almost only one type - from the left. And to create deep change, you need a person from outside the system - a person who didn't grow up in the General Staff's greenhouse, who isn't committed to the old conceptions and the generals' doctrines. I saw Eisenkot and Gantz in the cabinet - two former chiefs of staff. I stood against them almost alone. They opposed entering Rafah, opposed capturing the Philadelphi Corridor - Hamas's weapons pipeline! They opposed continuing the maneuver in the Strip, and opposed entering Lebanon. All the great achievements of the war were attained only after they left! I'm not just talking. After a full term at the Ministry of National Security, in which I carried out bold reforms that hadn't been done in 40 years, I proved in the police and the Prison Service the ability to come from outside and shatter conceptions. When everyone warned me: "Don't mess with the terrorists in prison". I turned the terrorists' hotel conditions around 180 degrees. In a year and a half I demolished 10,000 illegal structures. I raised police salaries and recruited 4,000 new police officers, established the National Guard, and carried out huge reforms in the organization. The State of Israel is in a historic window of time in which it is possible and necessary to carry out bold initiatives for our next generation, so that our children and grandchildren won't again have to pay the prices the current generation has paid. I've defined six central goals, which in my eyes are the core of the required change: A. A strategic plan to encourage emigration from the Gaza Strip: the Defense Ministry under my leadership will handle this as its first goal. This is our moral and historic duty - so that our children won't have to fight in Gaza again. I have a practical, immediate plan, and I'm going to implement it. B. Shattering the containment conception: disarming the Palestinian terror authority. This authority is a time bomb that is training to carry out another October 7 against us. About Gaza too they thought I was wrong when I shouted on the eve of the massacre that we were in a conception. We must deal with the threat of the Palestinian Authority, which funds terror, incites to terror, and stockpiles weapons and trains to carry out a massacre. C. Changing the rules of engagement: our soldiers will not be cannon fodder! The situation in which a soldier is afraid to open fire on a terrorist approaching him for fear of being prosecuted is a disgrace. I receive appeals from soldiers in the field who tell me that terrorists approach the forces and they're forbidden to shoot. Every terrorist deserves death! D. A dramatic increase in the pay of regular-service soldiers, with an emphasis on combat soldiers: equality in the burden begins with appreciation and reward for those who risk their lives. Free land for soldiers in the Negev and the Galilee will also be part of this reward. E. Fixing the IDF's ethical code and removing Asa Kasher's progressive craziness from it. Stopping the influence of radical-left foundations on the curriculum and training content of IDF commanders and soldiers. Instead of defeatist values of "enemy rights", we will instill in our soldiers values of Judaism, Zionism and a spirit of fighting and victory. F. Opening the IDF's elite units, including 8200, to the entire population. It's time to end the screening by the friend-brings-a-friend method.
